This Cookie Notice explains how YouWare HK Limited, operating the Services under the Renoise brand (“Renoise,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), uses cookies, pixels, software development kits (SDKs), browser storage, and similar technologies (collectively, “Tracking Technologies”) when you use Renoise websites, web applications, and related services.

This notice should be read together with our Privacy Policy. It describes the technologies currently used by Renoise, why we use them, and the choices available to you. It does not cover technologies used independently by third-party websites you visit from Renoise.

1. What Are Tracking Technologies?

Cookies are small text files stored by a website in your browser. Session cookies generally expire when you close your browser, while persistent cookies remain until their stated expiry or deletion.

We may also use pixels, tags, SDKs, local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, device identifiers, and similar technologies. These tools can remember settings, maintain sessions, protect the Services, measure use, attribute campaigns, and support features such as drafts and Canvas projects.

Some technologies are set directly by Renoise. Others are provided by service providers acting on our behalf, such as authentication, payment, security, analytics, advertising, and error-monitoring providers.

2. How We Use Tracking Technologies

2.1 Strictly necessary technologies

These technologies are required to operate, secure, and deliver the Services. They support account authentication, session management, fraud and abuse prevention, load balancing, payment processing, consent-region detection, language and theme settings, and other core functions. They cannot be disabled through our cookie controls because parts of the Services may stop working without them.

2.2 Functional technologies

Functional technologies remember choices and in-progress work, including language, theme, composer settings, drafts, interface state, local material references, Canvas data, and other preferences. These technologies improve your experience but generally do not measure advertising performance.

2.3 Analytics technologies

With consent where required, analytics technologies help us understand visits, navigation, feature use, errors, performance, and product reliability. Renoise currently uses Google Analytics and Volcengine/DataFinder analytics. Error and performance monitoring may also be provided by Sentry as necessary to operate and secure the Services.

2.4 Advertising and measurement technologies

With consent where required, Renoise uses Google advertising and conversion measurement, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, and X Pixel to attribute campaigns, measure conversions, limit duplicate reporting, and understand advertising performance. These providers may set or read their own identifiers according to their privacy notices.

3. Technologies We Currently Use

The names and lifetimes of provider cookies may change as providers update their services. The following table describes the current categories and representative technologies rather than guaranteeing that every browser will contain every listed item.

4. Your Choices

Where consent is required, optional analytics and advertising technologies are disabled until you make a choice. You can accept all optional technologies, reject them, or choose analytics and advertising separately.

You can review or change your choice at any time by selecting “Cookie settings” in the Renoise website footer. Renoise stores your choice for up to 180 days, after which we may ask again. Withdrawing consent stops future optional collection; previously collected information may still be retained as described in our Privacy Policy.

You can also block or delete cookies and site data through your browser settings. Doing so may sign you out, remove saved preferences or drafts, or prevent features from working correctly. Browser controls may not address server-side conversion measurement or data already received by a provider.

5. Third-Party Privacy Information

Third-party providers process information under their own privacy terms. Their current notices and controls are available from their websites, including Google, Meta, TikTok, X, Volcengine, and Sentry.

6. Changes to This Notice

We may update this Cookie Notice when our technologies, providers, legal obligations, or Services change. We will revise the “Last updated” date when we do. Material changes will be communicated where required by law.
